With exception to those who physically can't get out and erect an antenna for REAL amateur radio due to ill health or old age or the like then it's simply laziness and lack of interest and or knowledge in the hobby.

What the hell is a DV Dongle

Come on , some people need to get a grip.. DV DONGLE..What is it? ( TAKEN FROM DECEMBER 2008 radcom) essentially it's a way of getting in to the D- star internet backbone without a radio. What the hell is it doing in a radio magazine.. God help us.

Why can't people interested in this type of communication start a new "hobby" don't insult people with a genuine interest in RADIO and force this crap into our hobby. It doesn't have a place in amateur radio. Call it what you like but please don't call it radio. It isn't. Its best described as a fancy e-mail system.
